Spiritual, Moral, Social & Cultural Development

Raising standards through spiritual, moral, social and cultural development is at the heart of everything we do. It is the foundation of all planning & learning within our school and is taught throughout all subjects.

Our school ethos, our culture, our behaviour, our actions and interactions, our communications, our teaching, our assemblies all reflect, promote & contribute to our spiritual, moral, social & cultural development goals and ambitions.

Another way in which we promote these areas is through our 'Challenge' curriculum, enabling pupils to enjoy variety and opportunity via an extensive range of activities, in particular outdoor learning.

We see our children thrive in this safe, supportive and positive environment through rich and memorable learning experiences. They feel happy, secure, confident and valued.

We believe in the importance of SMSC and the positive impact it has on each pupil's self-esteem, behaviour, achievement, love of learning, openness, resilience, co-operation, initiative & understanding.
