Our School Day

The school day starts at 9.00 a.m. and finishes at 3.00 p.m.

Children are welcome to go into school from 8.45 a.m. to get ready for the day ahead.

Morning Break

There is a 15 minute break in the morning.  We take part in the Schools Fruit and Vegetable scheme and all the children are offered a piece of fruit/vegetable at morning break.  Milk is available for all children through www.coolmilk.com.  For those under five there is no charge.  There is a small child for children aged five and over.

An hour lunch break from 12.00 midday to 1.00pm.

As a Healthy School we aim to ensure that all aspects of food and drink in school promote the health and well being of the children & staff. Three water fountains are available for playtime drinks and children may bring their own named bottleof water to drink in class during the day.

Children will be provided with a hot school meal, or they may bring in a packed lunch & drink to school each day which is clearly labelled with their name.

Children are encouraged to bring a healthy packed lunch with no sweets or fizzy drinks.  The children's awareness of a healthy diet is raised through our annual healthy food week.

We  have midday supervisors who take care of the children during lunch and the lunchtime play period.

Lunch is eaten in the hall or outside on picnic tables when the weather is fine.

End of the day

Parents collect the children at the end of the school day outside their respective classroom.

If you are delayed or another person is collecting your child, please let us know.

Getting to and from school

Walking, cycling or scooting to school is definitely the best option.  There are lots of benefits: it's healthier than travelling by car, it improves the safety of pedestrians and road-users, and it respects nearby residents.  We have bike and scooter racks.

If you do need to travel by car, we have our own car park but please do park wisely.
